Graduation Requirements

Requirements for Graduation

Graduation from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy requires:

  • Students must have completed all course requirements.
  • Students must have completed at least 330 hours of direct patient care through faculty-supervised massage therapy accumulated through on-site and off-site clinical placements.
  • The total number of clinical hours must include 25 Community Service hours obtained through various RMT-supervised charity, sporting, and community events, providing care to participants and staff.
  • Immediately before graduation, students must pass both the Theory and Practical Comprehensive Examinations, which are delivered to students to complete the school curriculum.
  • Students must complete the OSCE PREP course that occurs as an added week at the end of Term 4.
